On the special date of October 10th 2010 (10.10.10) we are offering 10 couples the chance to take part in a one off ‘Vegas style' wedding ceremony to set all records.
For each couple and their 18 guests, there will be a 15 minute ceremony in The Morton Room in the presence of a Registrar fromNewark and Sherwood. The MortonRoom will be flower and glitter filled with your vows being taken in front of our roaring log fire. Needless to say Elvis will be on hand to sing you through the signing of the register whilst our photographer Tim gets the best shots of you and your guests!

After a glass of bubbly you and your guests will be invited to your tables to enjoy a 3 course dinner including red and /or white wine. Relax and enjoy the atmosphere of your amazing day as 9wedding parties join with you to celebrate!
With all 10 ceremonies completed we rock into full party mode with a performance from Elvis Presley complete with show girls, a 6 table casino and disco to dance the night away! 10.10pm will be the ‘official' moment when The Guinness World Record adjudicator will confirm the achievement of our record.

Where do we park?
Southwell Racecourse, our neighbour and partner, has kindly offered to provide car parking at the racecourse. After a drink in the owners bar, courtesy buses will be on hand to drive your guests to The Full Moon only a short 5 minute ride away.If anyone needs accommodation for the evening or maybe the weekend the Raceourse motel has 6 rooms available! What is the format of the day?
You and your guests will be invited to join us at one of our 10 pre alloted times for your wedding ceremony. The Registrar will be on hand at half hourly intervals to conduct the service.Your party begins once you are married and take your place with us for dinner.It is anticipated that a light finger buffet could be offered at an additional cost if anyone wants it later in the evening but sadly this fantastic day comes to an end at midnight!
What will be on the menu?
The menu will have a choice of 2 starters, 3 main courses and an assiette of desserts. Vegetarians and special dietary requirements can be catered for. You and your guests will be asked to pre order by the 10th September 2010
How much does it cost?
The price is £60 per person, This includes Elvis at the ceremony, Tim our photographer, a 3 course dinner plus 6 bottles of house wine & 3 bottles of bubbly per group.Not forgetting the disco, casino and magician!All prices quoted include VAT.
Are there any other costs?
Yes! The fee for your ceremony of £400 payable to the Registrar
Is the package or fee negotiable?
No! To ensure the successful running of the day and to achieve our record we need to keep the format the same for each wedding group
Can we bring our own photographer?
Due to time restrictions, we can only allow Tim in The Morton Room for the ceremony and would ask that your guests do not use their own cameras. Tim Miles Hayler www.mileshayler.co.ukis a professional photographer with years of experience able to give you long lasting memories of your wedding day. Whilst Tim will be on hand to take the initial photographs available to you to buy at a later date - your guests are welcome to snap away to their hearts content afterwards!
If we get married first, do we have to wait for everybody else before we eat?
We will seat groups 2 at a time to eat to ensure that you and your guests' day runs smoothly. The idea of the day is that it is very relaxed and loads of fun - with an opportunity to share your joy with your guests and the guests of others.
Can we choose our time slot?
Get involved and we'll you ask for your preferred time. Remember first come first served! Once we have filled all 10 spaces we can let you know what time you have been alloted.
How many couples have signed up?
By the end of May we had 7 couples signed up for this event. If you would like one of the last few places, do sign up quick!
Do we need to pay up front?
We require a deposit of £250 which will only be refundable in the event of The Full Moon cancelling the event. We require payment in full for the remainder of the balance with your pre order for food by the 10th September 2010 at the very latest.
Are there any hidden costs?
The only extra costs will be for additional drinks bought from the bar after the included wine and bubbly. Photographs will be available to buy with no obligation direct from Tim
What about accomodation?
Accomodation can be arranged at The Southwell Racecourse Motel, or at one of many Bed and Breakfasts in the area. One of our favourite B+Bs is www.theholliesnewark.co.uk
Do we have to book the Registrar ourselves?
Yes! Once you have your alloted time you will need to contact Newark Register Offices on 01636 705455. We have already contacted them to let them know of our plans and they will be expecting your call. Although this is planned to be a fun and informal day, it is essential that the rules are followed regarding the wedding ceremony. The payment of £400 will also need to be made direct to the Registrar.
Are children welcome?
We are a family friendly business and offer options for children to be involved in your wedding day. If you would like to include a child in your wedding party, that's not a problem.Alternatively if you would like to include children in the ceremony but not the party we can accommodate up to 6 extra seats in The Morton Room at no extra cost.
