Training for The Robin Hood half marathon is reaching a peak now and our team are sparkling with energy and excitment! Ok, thats a small exageration - maybe that sparkle is actually delirium and the excitement is definite nerves. Unfortunatly Alex has had to pull out of the half marathon due to a knee injury - I suppose running 13 miles just 3 months after knee surgery was a tad ambitious!

The pub has been busy with bank holiday revellers and we are set for a busy few months of weddings and parties. September and October are surprisingly popular for weddings, despite the fact that the weather is often more reliable. As a small wedding venuenear Newark and Southwell, suitable for parties between 30-40 guests, we are extremely popular with couples looking for a relaxed and intimate do!
