The Full Moon has despite all the changes and events, always been proud to stick to its roots as a great traditional village pub serving real ale and a warm welcome. Landlord Will's passion is keeing his Real Ale in top condition and it is this part of the Moon which completely relies on his skills as a cellar man. So, he was chuffed to bits on monday morning when the Cask Marque inspector dropped in to spot check his beers and gave them all 20 out of 20. For those of you who know a few things about Real Ale, you will appreciate what an achivement this is - for those of you who don't know about Real Ale, it means The Full Moon is probably one of the best places to learn! 

Talking of beer......we have our first Pie and Pint night of 2010 on the way on friday 29th where you will be able to get a Pie and a Pint (or glass of house wine) for £10.50. This month we have our Beef, port and stilton pie, and our all time favourite Smoked Haddock, leek and salmon pie.

We are also making plans for a packed February, with our Valentines menu running on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th. To have a look at what is on offer this year by visiting our menu page on the website.

On February 16th, we have our annual pancake party. This year we have decided to raise money for Save the Children. They are doing essential work following the Haiti disaster and every penny really does count. If you would like to come down on Shrove tuesday for an evening of entertainment and balloon modelling from Marvo the Magician, bangers and mash supper and of course, plenty of pancakes, please book your tickets either at the bar or by email. Tickets are £3 for children, £5 for adults or £15 for a family of 4. We will also be holding a raffle and would appreciate any donations to make this our best fundraising event yet.
