Its Mothers day this weekend and we now only have tables available mid afternoon and early evening. If you would like to treat your mum this year, give us a call on 01636 830251 sooner rather than later. Along with a fab sunday roast, we also have beautiful hyacinth pots for every mum to take home and remind her of the day.

The second thursday of the month is Vegetarian night and our new chef Kim has been taking charge of the menu this week. She absolutly loves to "play" with new recipes and always enjoys the challenge of making Veggie night a success. Kim is also the brains behind our new potato chips and parsnip crisps which we now sell on the bar for a mere 50p per bag. Buy them quick before Becks eats the lot! Kim is also busy creating a great Tartare sauce and pickled onions for you to take home and enjoy with your take aways from the pub and from the Nippie Chippie.

For those of you looking ahead to the easter holidays and wondering what to do with the children, don't forget our scarecrow trail which starts on Good friday and finishes on Easter Monday (though most of the scarecrows will be up the following week as well.) Last year we had hundreds of visitors on bike, foot, car and even bus, all busy exploring Morton and Fiskerton, finding scarecrows and giving them marks out of 10.  Simply call into The Full Moon from Thursday 1st April, collect a map and a voting form and get going! We are expecting a bumper turn out this year and with good weather on the horizon, it should be a cheap and healthy way of entertaining the kids for a day - and you might get a pint at the end of it!
